The inaugural The Poker One took place in December 2016 and attracted over 400 players. The winner was sicilian player Andrea Cannizzaro who took home €50.000 first prize. Massimiliano Rosi was the runner-up, maltese player Sascha Manns took the third place. The 2016 edition in Portomaso Casino was the absolute debut for the event.
The second edition was played instead in Perla Nova Gorica. Mattia Gentile triumphed and Giovanni Palma was the runner-up.
